My 5 Favorite Podcasts for Female Entrepreneurs

Hello, my name is Anabelle and I'm obsessed with podcasts.

I listen to them All. The. Flippin'. Time. And I mean ALL THE TIME: in my kitchen, while packing my kiddo's lunch or making dinner, in the shower (shout out to Bluetooth shower speakers), in the car, while running errands (grocery shopping, waiting for doctor/dentist appointments, getting my nails done, etc.), even in my bedroom while getting ready for bed.

Yep, I'm listening to podcasts pretty much whenever I have some spare time.

After a solid year-plus of sampling a large variety of podcasts geared toward female entrepreneurs, I recently realized I've settled upon a core of five podcasts that I listen to again and again.

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER (I swear, I love them all!), let me introduce you to my Fab Five!

01. Being Boss

(Emily Thompson & Kathleen Shannon)

These girls ain't playin' – they've come to be boss and they're not taking any sh*t.

They tackle just about everything on their show: mindset, strategy, money, self-care, and more.

They're not afraid of getting a little "woo," as in meditating and setting intentions, using tarot cards and crystals, and channeling the energy of the Universe to attract what you want in life and business. (Which, I must admit, I looooove.)

They're also not afraid to talk about their "fraudy feelings," aka imposter syndrome. I might love this most of all, seeing as I've got plenty of "fraudy feelings" of my own. Their open discussions of how they deal with these feelings really do help me manage my own.

And they just released a BOOK! So exciting! I already bought it on Kindle and Audible. It's GOOD. Highly recommend for all boss babes!

Give it a listen and see what you think. I doubt you'll be disappointed. These girls rock.

02. Naptime Empires

(Nikki Elledge Brown)

I confess: I'm a total fangirl for Nikki Elledge Brown.

She's REAL, y'all. Like, so real I feel like I actually know her. Like she's my long-lost BFF.

And I realize that's a bit creepy, seeing as she has no idea who I am, but I'm saying that to give you an idea of how authentic she is.

She's not hiding herself – she's unafraid to speak what's on her mind and her heart. Listening to her podcast, I feel like she's talking to me – and as a writer, I know that's the mark of someone who truly knows her audience.

Of course, Nikki is no stranger to finding her voice. She's helped hundreds, if not thousands, of people find their voice in her A Course About Copy, which guides students through writing their own copy for their websites. Her background is in communications and she REALLY knows her stuff.

I guarantee you'll learn a lot from her, both in practical terms and in mindset and self-development. Check her out. Now.

03. All Up in Your Lady Business

(Jessica Stansberry & Jaclyn Mellone)

Jaclyn and Jessica discuss ERRYTHING related to being a female entrepreneur – social media strategy, relationship-building, increasing your visibility, dealing with finances, creating systems – they really cover it ALL.

Plus, their back-and-forth banter never fails to make me laugh. I love how they mix serious business discussions with some giggles. :-)

04. The Strategy Hour

(Abagail Pumphrey & Emylee Williams)

Any list of podcasts for female entrepreneurs would be remiss to not include Abagail & Emylee's Strategy Hour.

If you're looking to grow your business – like, not just talk about it, but actually TAKE ACTION – you need this podcast in your life.

Abagail and Emylee have plenty of actionable advice for you to help you grow your biz no matter where you are in your entrepreneurial journey. They dish it out with honesty, encouragement, and a bit of tough love.

And they sound like they're talking straight to YOU, which sure makes me sit up and take notice. ("Yes ma'am! Whatever you say! I'll do it right now!")

Basically, they're like having your own personal biz coach x2. You can't afford to pass them up.

05. Goal Digger

(Jenna Kutcher)

Just based on her podcasts, Jenna seems like she'd be just about the nicest person you'd ever want to meet.

Plus SHE. KILLS. IT. in her biz, so she clearly knows her sh*t.

Every single episode I've listened to (and I've listened to a LOT), she's been unfailingly uplifting and encouraging while giving her listeners solid advice about running a biz.

Her guests are always great, too. She brings on women who have tons to share with her audience, and I always learn something new every time I listen.

If you're looking for a sweet, supportive, and successful biz mentor, you can't go wrong with Jenna. Her podcast is a must-listen.

028: Following Your Intuition with Jess Lively (NOTE: I listen to Jess's podcast, too – definitely check it out if you want to focus on your mindset!)

042: Creating Unforgettable Client Experiences with Bonnie Bakhtiarti

Obviously this isn't a podcast, but IT SHOULD BE (hint, hint Courtney!)

(Seriously, Courtney, take the audio and put it in podcast form so I can listen to you when I can't actually watch a video!)

Courtney is another long-lost BFF of mine (who also doesn't know I exist). She is refreshingly honest and upfront about the challenges of running your own biz. (Plus, she cusses sometimes, so that's fun. Thumbs up for keeping it real.)

I love Courtney's no-BS approach, and her advice is always on point. Her videos are usually pretty short (5-10 minutes) and she stuffs them chock-full of actionable content.
