The Process
from START to FINISH

NOTE: This is how my UpSprout Upgrade process typically goes. Your project timeline may be a little different based on your unique needs, but it'll follow this basic outline.

BEFORE WE START

Do your homework!

(I'll say it again: Hey, I'm an English teacher – old habits die hard!)

 

WEEK ONE: BRANDING

 

monday

We'll have a conference to discuss your branding. Then I'll get to work on creating your logo.

 

tuesday

I'll continue logo design. 

 

wednesday

Once you have signed off on the logo, I'll start working on color palette. You'll receive 3 different color palettes to choose from.

 

thursday

I'll create 3 different font combos for you to choose from. 

 

Friday

We'll have a brief conference to discuss the final branding decisions. Then I'll get to work on creating your brand style guide.

 

 

WEEK TWO: COPYWRITING

 

monday

We'll have a conference to discuss your branding. Then I'll get to work on creating your logo.

 

tuesday

I'll continue logo design. 

 

wednesday

Once you have signed off on the logo, I'll start working on color palette. You'll receive 3 different color palettes to choose from.

 

thursday

I'll create 3 different font combos for you to choose from. 

 

Friday

We'll have a brief conference to discuss the final branding decisions. Then I'll get to work on creating your brand style guide.

(Note: I can't get started if you haven't turned in your homework!)

 

tuesday

I'll continue working on color palette & fonts.

By the end of the day, I'll present 3 different color palettes & 3 different font combinations to you. You pick which ones you like best.

 

wednesday

We'll have another (brief) conference to discuss the final branding decisions and to begin copyediting. 

I'll dig into editing and proofreading––I really loooove this part! 

 

thursday

More editing and proofreading––woo hoo! 

By the end of the day, I'll send you the final edits to your copy to make sure you love it. :-)

Friday

One more conference to go over any questions before we start web design tweaks – if you've got anything else to add about how you want your site to look, speak up! 

I'll start prettifying your site. (Yay!)

You should receive your mini brand style guide by the end of the day – it'll contain the specific colors (each teeny-tiny shade difference has its own digital number, so the colors will be really precise), the names of the fonts we're using, and overall style notes.
